  29.     How to fake it:  an animation I did maybe 4 years ago had a spinning 
  30. ball with a polka-dot transparency map.  I put a light inside the sphere, and 
  31. rather counter-intuitively the light came out in "dots"  (counter intuitively, 
  32. since I thought the trans map was on the outside surface.  !  Musta been on
  33. both. )  Anyway, it worked like a charm, and nobody seems to notice that the 
  34. dots spin (on the walls) the opposite direction that the sphere itself spins.  
  35. (The light inside was spinning the other direction.)
